According to New Beauty, a woman on a recent episode of the popular television show Botched had 13 different surgeries over the span of only one year to look more like Ivanka Trump.
While this does seem like a bizarre enough tangle that would make for great television, plastic surgeons do not approve of this type of reckless obsession. Instead, aesthetic candidates should consider the underlying reasons why this type of behavior is desired.
Tiffany Taylor’s Surgeries
Tiffany Taylor appeared on Botched after having received two breast augmentations, a nose job, injectables, and fat transfer to the face, minor eyelid surgery, and liposuction on her belly and buttocks area, in addition to other procedures.
She said that procedures were done over about a year and were performed to make her look more like Ivanka Trump. She requested that the Botched surgeons perform another procedure (another rhinoplasty).
The doctors expressed concern that Taylor had been under anesthesia so many times in one year, but she assured them she’d only been under general anesthesia three times and that many of the surgeries were performed together.
When asked if these surgeries were rooted in any recent change, she admitted to having just ended a ten-year marriage. The doctors refused her request for another procedure.
Surgery for the Right Reasons
Some doctors do admit that it is perfectly safe to get plastic surgery as a response to a life change. However, most will warn that this should only be done if the patient makes the decision for themselves and in a healthy state of mind.
If not, serious underlying motives could be overlooked, and the patient could experience negative psychological side effects. Also, those who do not allow for healing time between surgeries could experience physical issues, clearly showing that both doctor and patient must be careful when deciding on aesthetic enhancement.
