We reported a few months ago that a new show was announced by E! Television that would follow their smash hit “Botched” on Tuesday nights. This week, the show debuted its first episode to very positive reviews.

Here’s the scoop on the new show’s first episode in case you missed it.

About the Hosts

As many people predicted, this show was going to be brutal, should the hosts choose to go in that direction. Think about it…the premise of the show is to look at various pictures of celebrities and “pick apart” their appearance in order to assess whether they had any work done (and to judge if they look good or not)!

RuPaul is known for being witty and sharp-tongued. This show could have been the perfect platform for some really nasty comments about the celebrities they are talking about.

Surprisingly, RuPaul didn’t deliver anything close to nasty. Instead, he was described as being “gracious, sharp-witted, and not after blood” by The Muse.

Co-host Sandra Vergara (cousin of bombshell Sofia Vergara) was much less forgiving. In her assessments, she lets loose and says what is on everyone’s mind. For example, while looking at pictures of Donatella Versace from over the years, her comment was that she “used to be beautiful”.

Doctor-to-the-stars and cast member of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Dr. Terry Dubrow offers his own take on each of the celebrities discussed in the show. Although it is his role to try and determine, from a medical standpoint, whether it appears as if the celebs had “work done”, it is his firm stance that he stay on neutral ground.

You have to applaud someone that stands for not being “insensitive…or face or body shamers” as he was quoted saying in a recent interview with The Muse.

Episode One of “Good Work”

In Tuesday’s episode, they looked at celebrities like Shania Twain, Renee Zellweger, and Donatella Versace. They also welcomed RHOBH cast member Brandi Glanville who spoke about her vaginal rejuvenation (not labiaplasty) as well as several other plastic surgery procedures she has had done.

What this show hopes to do is lessen the stigma surrounding plastic surgery and celebrities by bringing their procedures out into the open (and by getting some of them to come on the show and discuss it).
