In a recent article featured on GoodHousekeeping.com, Mackenzie Langan’s story unfolded:

  • 18 years old
  • High school senior
  • Short stature (5 feet tall)
  • Breast size 34H
  • Constant pain in her neck, back, and shoulders from oversized breasts
  • Chafing and bleeding from bra straps digging into her skin
  • Unable to comfortably participate in sports
  • Uncomfortable in social situations

Mackenzie’s story is about to be told on the TV show Nightline. In her interview, she talks about some additional (emotional) reasons for asking her parents to get her breast reduction surgery as her 18th birthday present:

Being known freshman year as ‘the girl with the giant boobs,’ having guys date me because I have boobs … And it gives me a lot of self-confidence issues because I feel like I can’t trust people.”

Why Are Younger Girls Experiencing Oversized Breasts?

We published a video earlier this year explaining how hormones in meat and milk can adversely affect the breasts of young men. This same concept can also apply to young women.

Of course, dairy and meat are not the sole causes for this phenomenon occurring. Other environmental and genetic factors are also at play.

The root problem with excessive breast growth lies in too much estrogen in the bloodstream. When greater than normal amounts of this female sex hormone flows through the body, several issues can crop up, including breast growth. For teens (male or female), this can obviously wreak havoc on the mind and body.

Like many other teens with this issue, puberty was the trigger point in Mackenzie’s life. Her breasts started developing very early and very quickly. In fact, by the time she started high school, she was already suffering from deep embarrassment from her appearance as well as the aforementioned physical issues.
