Are you aware that there are procedures in our Long Island liposuction and NYC centers that can be performed under local, rather than general, anesthesia?

Some people prefer local because they feel a bit more “in control,” and/or because they don’t like the after-effects of general anesthesia.

For those and many other reasons, procedures performed under local anesthesia have gained enormous popularity both among our physicians and patients.

In our NYC & Long Island liposuction practices, all our procedures are performed at our Long Island office, which is accredited by AAAHC. We perform all our laser liposuction procedures under local anesthesia.

Some patients wish to have a mild oral sedation and some analgesic medication, but none of them need general anesthesia because the methods we use for liposuction don’t require that the patient be asleep under general anesthesia.

We prefer to perform procedures under local anesthesia because it reduces risks associated with general anesthesia.

Thus, safety and better results (which translates into increased patient satisfaction) are the main reasons we perform the procedures under local anesthesia.

To a Safer Procedure,

The Advanced Cosmetic Surgery Team
