Health is important to us. We want people to not only look good, but to feel good too. This is why Movember is something we choose to celebrate.

The Movember Foundation is a global organization that seeks to bring light to men’s health issues. So far, the organization has raised $559 million. This money has been used to fund more than 800 programs in 21 countries. These programs have been able to help men with prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems.

During Movember, which is in November, men grow mustaches. These mustaches are a cause for conversation around the world, and that leads to the discussion of what it stands for – men’s health.

It’s hoped that through this discussion, men will become more aware of the importance of routine prostate and testicular checks. It’s also hoped that more men will come forward to seek help for their mental health issues.

Starting the Mo on November 1

After signing up with the Movember Foundation, men shave their face on November 1. They then grow a mustache for the entire month. They groom it and when the opportunities arise to discuss their Mo (slang for mustache), they can request a donation to the Movember Foundation.

Before you think this is just for men, women are doing it too. They are called Mo Sistas. The difference between Mo Sistas and Mo Bros is that they don’t grow the mustache. They start a team and do the fundraising part in support of the Mo Bros.

If you’re interested in taking part in Movember, visit the foundation’s website now to find out more about it.

We truly love what the Movember Foundation is doing for men’s health. It’s important that all men take time to care for themselves. Over the years, men get busy caring for their career and family and they put themselves to the side.

With efforts from organizations like this one, more men will get the health care they need, so they can live healthier and fuller lives. Will you take part in this year’s Movember?
