Facelift Manhattan and Facelift Long Island Facial Implant Surgery

A facial implant is a soft, flexible piece of medical grade silicone that, when inserted, looks and feels like a natural part of the face. They come in a variety of sizes and shapes so that every patient can achieve the look they want. They can be inserted into either the chin or cheeks to give the patient an improved appearance. Our facelift Manhattan and facelift Long Island surgeons can also fill in the face with fat from the patient’s own body to enhance the lips and other areas of the face. This is called a “fat transfer” procedure. These procedures are usually combined for a complete facial rejuvenation in our NYC and Commack surgical centers.

Facial implants are a wonderful way to enhance certain features on your face. Areas such as the cheeks can be enhanced with an implant in order to give the cheeks “lift” and a more dramatic contour and depth that cannot be achieved with cosmetics alone. Often times, our Facelift Long Island and facelift Manhattan patients who choose to have cheek implants do so because they feel that their cheeks don’t look quite the way they want them to. 

Other times, patients feel that cheek implants are necessary in order to bring their cheeks back to what they used to be (either due to aging or illness causing a “sunken” look).  Cheek implants can offer patients both a more youthful look as well as a healthier appearance by filling them out. The best part about cheek implants is that they are inserted through the interior of the mouth to eliminate any visible scars!

Another very popular placement for an implant is in the chin. A chin implant can make a dramatic improvement to the balance of the face, especially from a side profile point of view. Most of our Facelift Long Island patients who request a chin implant do so because they feel that their face is out of balance with their other features.

A short chin, for example, that does not protrude enough can be bothersome and make patients feel self-conscious.  A short chin can look out of balance with the nose while, at the same time, blending too closely with the silhouette of the neck. A chin implant can either be discreetly inserted through an incision in the underside of the chin or through the inside of the mouth for a “scar-free” procedure.

 

Chin Implants with Rhinoplasty

A nose that was formerly a size, shape, or in a position that bothered the patient can now be made into a nose that perfectly complements the patient’s face."

Once the rhinoplasty is completed, the chin may be enhanced to bring a balance to the degree at which a patient’s nose and chin protrude, giving them a more well-balanced appearance of their overall facial features. Often times, patients can achieve a more feminine or masculine appearance once these improvements have been made.
