When you schedule a consultation for breast implants, we will sit down with you at one of our offices in Commack, Long Island or Manhattan. At that time, we will answer all of your questions. We will also take a look at your breasts and provide you with recommendations on size and shape.

Usually, most women already have a good idea of what they want, so this part is just a way to properly set expectations based on where they are at that time and what the surgery can do for them.

Once the consultation is finished, we will discuss pricing and financing. Then, you can set up an appointment for your procedure. It’s a good idea to bring your significant other with you or a close family member to help you make the decision.

Since most patients come in feeling emotional (wanting to change their body and being very excited about the possibilities), it’s a good idea to have someone with an unbiased view along side you.

The Day of Surgery

Once your surgical procedure has been scheduled, you will receive pre-op instructions from us on how to prepare for surgery and what to expect. Please be early to your surgery appointment so you can complete any necessary paperwork, take pre-op pictures, and so we can begin marking you for surgery.

You will need to have someone drive you to our surgical center because you will not be able to drive home afterwards. If you don’t have someone drive you to the appointment, we offer free transportation to and from surgery. Please note that if you opt for our transport service, you will need a responsible adult with you at home for the first 24 hours after surgery.

Recovery Time

Recovery time depends on the person. The surgeon will provide instructions for how you should take care of your new breasts when you get home. Follow these instructions completely, so you don’t increase your risk of infection or injury. You will need at least a couple days of resting after your surgery, so plan on that when you get home. You’ll start feeling more like yourself in about a week’s time.

You will have several post-op appointments to come back into the office after surgery. We will check you for signs of infection and make sure everything is healing properly.
